The kids are back in school – and sure they are gone during the day but you’re just as busy – if not more so – than ever!   3. My favourite thing to cook my my slow cooker is Mexican Chicken for shredding and using in tacos, enchiladas or burritos. . . Unfortunately my slow cooker has just died after four + years of use. . .

  11. I’ve never owned a slow cooker but I do have a casserole dish which I love making stews and casseroles in, we had sausage casserole yesterday was yummy. Thanks for hosting a great comp hun x

    My favourite recipe to do in the slow cooker is Spaghetti Bolognese as the it makes the mince so much more tender. But my secret is not to use a tin of chopped tomatoes but a punnet of cherry tomatoes – it makes it so much sweeter and tastier!

  16. I dont have a crockpot but Ive been informed roast chicken in it is amazing! So would love to try that out! That or a cake!

  17. My favourite crock pot recipe is a ginger soy beef dish made with beef shin which is really economical and full of flavour. Can be served with rice or noodles.

    Don’t have any favourite recipes as we tend to ad lib a bit but love that the meat is so tender which my kids love. Lamb shank goes down well
